Terms and conditions
All Child participants must wear knee pads, wrist guards, elbow pads and a helmet during Quads skate school sessions.
Helmet and elbow pads are advised but not compulsory for Adult lessons but this is at the users discretion and Quad skate school are not held for any liability for not using equipment whilst skating within their sessions.
With parental consent, once we feel a child is at a stable level, protection can be removed and a waiver form must be signed.
All participants must be able to stand up and stand still on roller skates without holding on to anything.
All participants are to supply their own protective gear and quad skates ( please contact us first if you have in-line skates ) it is up to the participant to maintain the function of their gear and Quad skate school are not liable for any personal equipment that is damaged.
If your child arrives without their protective gear then they will not be allowed to participate. We value your child’s safety at all times, no refunds will be given on the class missed.
Child classes are from 5 years and up- Older teens are welcome at our adult class.
Participants need to be in good health to participate in our classes. Pregnant skaters cannot participate in our sessions.
Your session starts and finishes at the advertised time. Arrive on time to kit up to have a full hour of skating fun.
Purchased classes ( including tasters ) and courses are non-refundable and non-transferable. We also don’t give credits. As you can imagine, we have large overheads that need to be paid and the space cannot be used for someone else at a moments notice.
If you no longer wish to continue skating with us, please give at least 2 weeks written notice to cancel, (14 days before the last class of term, this does not include a half term holiday week, it needs to be termly weeks ) so your place can be offered to someone on the waiting list. No refunds for outstanding lessons or the holding deposit will be given if this is not adhered to.
Deposit for classes are required, this is to be paid in cash at the first class and is £16 per person. This is due to people not giving notice of two weeks as per terms and conditions. We have a lot of over heads to pay for and these have to be paid in advance and lack of notice puts us in a difficult position.
Deposits are held and if two weeks notice is given it is returned.please make sure you have the correct amount as change is not carried.
Missed classes within a course are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Some termly sessions may run into a school holiday week, although this is rare, it may happen at times if the following term is an unusally short one, again consessions cannot be given due the space being reserved by the participant.
In the case a venue or Quads skate school cancels a booking, we will do our best to organise an extra session at the end of your termly course. If you can’t make this class, we will give you a credit for the value of your missed session. Changes to the schedule will be communicated via a group-specific WhatsApp group or on our facebook page.
Invoices will be sent out via email 2 weeks before the current terms end. This therefore gives you time to give notice of intending to leave if you wish as this will trigger the two week notice period. Any notice given after the invoice date will not be taken as two weeks and the deposit not returned. Invoices will need to be paid by the date on the invoice to secure your place, either by cash at the class or by bank transfer. if there is no payment on this day you will lose your place to someone on the waiting list.
Any lessons missed due to the participant going on holiday during the term time will not be refunded. We have a large waiting list and cannot keep a space open for you , this therefore insures that you still have your space when you return.
Participants confirm that all information they provide about themselves to Quads skate school is correct and if there are any changes they will contact Quads skate school to update them.
Workshops must be booked and paid for in advance, no refunds or credits are given, due to the nature of these courses, we keep numbers low to ensure a good skating experience and in turn have a lot of overheads that need to be paid.
Private lessons must be paid for in advance, if the weather is not good for outdoor skating then this will be cancelled and an alternative date given. If you wish to cancel a booked private lesson this must be done 48 hours before hand as places cannot be filled at short notice. No refunds or movement of lessons will be given outside of this notice period. Your lesson starts at the time that you have booked if you are late arriving the lesson does not start at that time. We have lots of private lessons we need to attend so cannot extend your time due to lateness, so please arrive promptly. We will wait 15 minutes after the booked time, so if you think you may be late please call to let us know. After this time has laspsed we will presume you are a no show if no contact is made.
